Short Bio
I am a professional hairstylist of 20+ years and unfortunately my place of business has been shutdown temporarily due to Covid-19 Coronavirus CA Shelter in place ordinance since March 16, 2020. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Art in Fashion Illustration from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. I have a mad passion for hair whether I’m cutting, coloring, styling or drawing it. During this pandemic I’ve created a series of drawings called the Quarantine Girls. Each drawing is a parody of a woman during the Covid-19 pandemic sporting what is known today as our new normal, a face mask in various situations with the tag line “all dressed up and no where to go”. My background as an illustrator and hairstylists combined with the frustration of being homebound and unable to work as a hairstylist, the Quarantine Girls were born. This is my way of creating hair 2 dimensionally with a bit of humor and to also promote awareness during this crucial time in history. Stay safe, save lives, wear a mask.
